Sure, it’s great for adding harmonies to acapellas or altering the voice with the formant control.

It's in public beta as I said at the beginning of the video. You can sign up for the beta program from the link in the description and then you will be able to download it and use it. Or if you don't want to do that, you will get the automatic update once it's released officially.

Yeah, I think they are slowly updating some old devices but there are still some that need to be refreshed like Analog, Sampler, etc. Idk if it's a priority for them though. I'm sure we will get more good updates before Live 13.

I haven't used XO but from what I know about it the auto tagging and the similarity search provide similar sample management features.

My guess is it won't happen any time soon, but who knows? The user base is very small compared to Mac and Win, so I assume the cost to benefit ratio isn't good enough.

Yeah, let's hope they add this next, it would be very helpful for polyphonic samples. For single notes like subs and synths you can already use the tuner to show you the note.

Agreed, although that would exclude audio clips so they should implement it in a way that enables in for audio tracks as well.

No, I think they've skipped this functionality. For example in Maschine if you layer samples on a pad, you don't have separate sampler settings for each sample. So that's why they've implemented pad link, to play multiple sounds from one pad and still be able to tweak them, add different effects to each sound, etc. In Ableton's Drum Rack, when you layer samples on a pad you still have different Simplers and effect chains for each sample, so there's no need to be able to link pads. Hope this makes sense 😅

Hard to say what the problem without a more detailed explanation. Maybe you're not on the right pad bank?

@@LowHeatBeats ok here's probem: i used my simpler to chop it up but somehow my midi still hit the wrong spot

@@LowHeatBeats for example , when i push the pad 1 it activate at slice 4 instead slice 1

@@bruceisdabatman The first slice on Simpler corresponds to the note C1, so if you press pad 1 and it triggers slice 4, then the pads on your MPD are configured to send different notes that they should. The MPD should have an editor that enables you to change the notes. I'd do a factory reset and make sure it's enabled as a control surface in Ableton, this should correct any wrong settings and make it work properly.

It already works with Live 12, there's no need for a compatibility update. As far as the effects go, I think the only new effect is Roar and I don't think it would add anything suitable for this particular rack. But maybe I can make a different effect rack that would take advantage of it? Thank you for the suggestion!
